Our First Easter as Four...

Saturday evening, Josh and I put our Easter baskets out for the Bunny. We bought new matching ones for the kids this year, so we got to add the grass and everything! Josh thought that was pretty "awesome". We left out a small bowl of carrots for the Bunny, too. Because he might get hungry. Josh wanted to leave him chocolate milk, too... but drank it!

Sunday morning after breakfast, Josh ran around the house looking for our baskets. The Easter Bunny did a great job hiding them for us. Josh found his, Chelsea's AND ours in no time.

Nana & Amy came over with Gregg, and we exchanged baskets with them, then had an Easter Egg Hunt in the game room! It was tons of fun... even though the boys were more interested in playing than with actually finding eggs. Amy and I had fun finding them though *grin*.

We went to lunch at Aunt Joan's, and got even MORE Easter presents, and had another Egg Hunt! We left for home at that point, so we could take a nap. Josh was about 2 minutes from a meltdown - we got out just in time!

After nap time, we went to Nana's house for dinner. Josh and Gregg were more interested in playing than eating, but that's ok... they had enough candy to last them a year - and were probably pretty full from that! *grin*

All in all, a very enjoyable day! Chelsea's first Easter was a success!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter, everyone!

We have been extremely busy this month. A lot of playgroups, storytimes, and pre-Easter celebrations!

Last week we had an Egg Decorating playgroup here for some friends. Now - I HATE messy crafty stuff with the kids. SO! This was a "No-Mess Egg Decorating"! We took plastic eggs, and covered them in cute Easter stickers. The kids loved it, and the only mess was some scraps of paper afterwards! It was great.

Yesterday, I took the kids to the Trolley Museum, AGAIN. This time was for a ride with the Easter Bunny. We were there with MoMo, and had a great time. Josh is starting to lose his fear of giant costumed characters, and actually wanted to touch the Easter Bunny.

This morning we had another MoMo event. We had our own Easter Egg Hunt in South Park. We rented a grove, stuffed and hid eggs, had crafts & egg dying, and then let the kids have at it. It took about a month worth of planning & prep, and everything went off without a hitch... except the weather. It was a dreary 32 degrees, and wet. Everyone had a great time, despite the cold.

We are excited for Easter Morning. Josh seems to think Santa is coming, again.. he has the basic idea though. I've asked the Bunny to hide eggs for us, and my nephew is comong over in the morning to help us find them all.

I am so loving little girl clothes!
Chelsea will be celebrating her first Easter in style.
